Councilman Mike Fagan is married to Donna, 12 years shy of 50. They have three grown children, and 5 grandchildren. Mike graduated from North Central HS in 1978, and enlisted in the United States Army. Mike served 10 years in Law enforcement & Criminal Investigations, was honorably discharged, and is a member of American Disabled Veterans.

Post discharge, Mike enjoyed a career in Silicon Valley as a purchasing agent of a computer manufacturer, and later at a satellite communications company in Silicon Valley. Upon returning home to Spokane with his young family, he then worked at MOR Manufacturing in Post Falls, as their materials manager.

Mike bought a home in the Bemiss neighborhood, and his children came up through Bemiss, Shaw, and Rogers.

Mike was co-founder and co-director of “Voters Want More Choices,” a political action committee that has provided over $43 billion dollars in tax relief to Washingtonians over the last 18 years through the citizen initiative process.

Mike, a VFW life member, is in his third year as the Post Commander of the Hillyard Veterans of Foreign Wars post.


Mike is former President of a number of groups including: Bemiss Neighborhood Council, the Regional Boundary Committee for OSPI & ESD 101, Spokane Sister Cities Association, Hillyard Community Block Grant Steering Committee, and Eastern Washington Term Limits Coalition, plus numerous other civic activities. Additionally, Mike co-hosts a radio talk show in it’s tenth year, known as “RIGHT Spokane Perspective,” one of the last remaining local shows about local politics, issues and items of community interest in the Spokane area.
